Personal Injury
Construction Injury

Although a worker’s “sole remedy” against his employer is ordinarily under worker’s comp, there may be other entities liable. Delano Law Offices, L.L.C. recovered $180,000.00 against the owner of the premises and a demolition contractor when a laborer was injured and that recovery was above and beyond his worker’s comp award. In another action we recovered against the contractor who built a building over nine years previously when a worker using that building was injured when a defectively designed railing gave way.

Defective Products

Manufacturers of products have a duty to make products that are reasonably safe for their intended usage. Often they breach that duty and a defective product enters the stream of commerce where it causes an injury or death. Landlords, innkeepers, storekeepers and individuals have a duty to keep their premises in good condition for the safety of permitted users. They may also have a duty to protect you from the criminal actions of third parties while you are present on those premises.

Premises Liability

Delano Law Offices, L.L.C. has attorneys experienced in identifying potential defendants and causes of action. “It hasn’t been done that way before” is never cause to fail to pursue a novel cause of action for our clients.

Railroad Injury

Injuries caused by railroads may be compensable where the railroad was negligent. Such actions may be pursued on behalf of railroad employees injured on the job or on behalf of those victimized by the negligent operation of trains. When an engineer fails to sound a whistle, when warning lights don’t work or where a crossing gate malfunctions, the railroad has breached its duty of care. Delano Law Offices, L.L.C. has successfully represented the families of both motorists and pedestrians injured or killed in train collisions.
